Falafel Heights is in a league of their own. Chef Lialie cooks food from the heart using family recipes and quality ingredients. This spot is new to the block but already feels like a staple. Do yourself a favor and stop in for unbeatable chicken shawarma and falafel wraps, drool-worthy loaded fries, sweet and tart mint lemonade, and a knafe, a regional dessert with phyllo, cheese and simple syrup.

Wow! I drive 40 minutes to try this and it did NOT disappoint. It felt like I was sitting at my grandmother’s table! The food is so fresh, and made from scratch! The falafel is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with the most beautiful green color just like I used to eat in Palestine. It has the perfect amount of heat. The shawarma was flavorful, and not overbearing. My 3,5 and 7 year olds LOVED it, and my husband couldn’t get over the handmade hot sauce “shattah “.

Absolutely loved this place! The falafel was authentic and full of flavor crispy on the outside, soft and perfectly spiced inside. The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. And the kanafe? Next level. Sweet, rich, and done just right. Can’t recommend this spot enough true comfort food with heart.

Hands down the best falafel in San Diego. Tender, soft, green ground chickpeas, spiced perfectly, with a crispy crispy crust. Ingredients are so fresh and obviously made with care and reverence for the owner's family recipes. My favorite order is the falafel bowl with 50/50 quinoa and greens. Love the assorted pickled veggies it includes. My boyfriend is obsessed with their french fries. The tahini and hummus are incredibly smooth and delicious. Can't wait to try the chicken shawarma with the homemade spicy shatta chili sauce! So excited that what started as a pandemic takeout pop-up now has an official, permanent home. This place rocks!!!

Let's start with how good this food is!!! I ordered the Beef Shawarma bowl, my mother ordered the Falafel bowl. We ate every last bite. The beef was juicy and flavorful and combined with the sauces and salad, it was a delicious, well portioned lunch I would happily eat again. My mother's dish was also exceptional. The best falafel we've ever had!!! Perfectly seasoned and not oily or greasy at all. Perfect! So good in fact, we ordered some falafel to go at the end. The service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. Everything you'd want at a small specialty restaurant. While, the space is small, it is very charming and extremely clean and outside seating is available.

Soooo yummy! Had been meaning to check this spot out for a long time! Glad I finally came in today! I ordered the Falafel Wrap and two seasonal Katayef desserts. The wrap was super fresh and filling. And the Katayef was similar to a pancake and really hit the spot after the wrap. I ordered the walnut Katayef and the cheese Katayef and both were soft and fluffy and the right amount of sweetness! Personally though the balance of flavors with the cheese was my fave. Super filling and ended up saving half the wrap for later. I ordered through Phone, was given an ETA of 10 minutes, and 10 minutes later I walked through the door and it was ready to go! Super speedy which I really appreciated during a limited work lunchtime! Both staff members working there were so sweet! The two ladies were super friendly and got me checked out quickly! Def recommend

The service was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable as the lady there was the one that was making these amazing dips. The mango one is especially good. The Falafel is very fresh and the insides beam their hearty greens at you when you bite one open. I also got a Falafel wrap as well as I was excited to try the menu. I must say this. It was one of the most fresh and delicious wraps I’ve ever had state side. This place really has that freshness I normally feel I can find only in the Middle East. I am fortunate enough to live close by so this is going to be one of my new daily spots! Also I was allowed to bring my tiny greyhound in while I ordered which is a make or break for me when I’m out picking food up!
